Explore the rich history of Grand Valley Artists, from its 1957 founding to today’s thriving creative collective in Grand Rapids. More than six decades ago, ten artists set out to create a space where creativity could thrive. Today, that vision continues to evolve as Grand Valley Artists supports hundreds of members and students across West Michigan.

The 100 for $100 Art Sale features original art and photographs from area artists, all $100 or less.  All proceeds support Grand Valley Artists.

The Spring 2026 fundraiser will occur Friday May 1st 5pm - 9pm and Saturday May 2nd Noon to 4pm.  Grand Valley Artists is located at 2661 29th St. SE B behind Schuler Books.

City-Wide Locations Across Grand Rapids

Join nearly 1,000 volunteers working together to keep Grand Rapids clean and vibrant.

Get involved as a volunteer, sponsor, or donor.

Celebrate at the Volunteer Block Party at John Ball Zoo after the cleanup.

Event Schedule

Volunteers meet at their registered district site for check-in and get their Wristbands.

* Check-in - 8:30 AM
* Cleanup starts at 9:15 AM

Attendees will leave their trash in designated locations (Signed for pickup)

* Cleanup portion ends at 11:45 AM
* Volunteer Block Party at John Ball Zoo Starts - 12:00 PM
* Event ends - 2:00 PM

Bike to Work Week 2026 invites you to ride a bicycle to work May 11-17, 2026 to improve health, reduce traffic congestion, and preserve the earth. You can earn rewards for riding a bike by recording your rides at West Michigan Rides. Bike to Work Week is part of National Bike Month.

Join us for the Acrisure Amphitheater Community Celebration on Saturday, May 16th from 11:00AM - 10:00PM.

Celebrate the grand opening of Acrisure Amphitheater in downtown Grand Rapids with this FREE community event which will feature live music, self guided tours, food trucks and a drone show. Admission is free for all. We ask that guests reserve tickets ahead of time at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are not required for entry, but strongly recommended to ensure entry.

Participating Food Trucks: Pressed in Time, El Caribe, Two Bones BBQ, Patty Matters, Ohana Hawaiian Ice & Furniture City Creamery.

The Acrisure Amphitheater Community Celebration Drone Show is Presented by Meijer. The drone show will start at dusk at approximately 9:30PM.

Join us for a performance by Tsukasa Taiko, a program of Asian Improv aRts Midwest. Taiko drumming is a Japanese tradition that’s over 2,000 years old! This exciting performance features taiko drums and shinobue (bamboo flute) and combines music, dance, and theater. It’s a fun and educational experience the whole family can enjoy! For all ages.
