"Let's Talk Third Ward" w/Kelsey Purdue
July 29, 2026 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Virtual Event (see description)Join Commissioner Kelsey Perdue for Let’s Talk Third Ward, a monthly community briefing for anyone who wants to stay informed and stay connected to what’s happening in the Third Ward and across Grand Rapids.
These briefings typically take place online on the last Wednesday of each month and last just 30 minutes — a short, focused check-in designed to fit busy schedules.
This is a chance to hear directly from me about the work I’m doing on your behalf: what’s moving forward, what’s been challenging, and what decisions are coming next at City Hall. I share updates from my own perspective, including wins, setbacks, and how I’m working with community members, colleagues, and partners to make progress.
At each briefing, you’ll get:
- Clear updates on the issues I’m working on
- Straightforward explanations of City and City Commission decisions
- Insight into how those decisions affect the Third Ward and the city as a whole
- A better understanding of what’s coming next and why it matters
- Your questions answered
Topics include housing, development, public safety, neighborhood investment, infrastructure, and City budgeting — always with a focus on how these issues show up in real life.
Whether you live in the Third Ward, work nearby, or just want to better understand how local decisions are made, Let’s Talk Third Ward is a space to stay informed, connected, and engaged on the issues shaping our community.
All are welcome. Registration is required.
